When M.E. Marmie first opened his car dealership in 1961, he believed in Great Bend and Central Kansas. He dedicated his life to bringing great automotive products and services to all families in the area. Today, his vision is still at the heart of everything we do. His sons, Jerry and David along with Desa Marmie Behr, are carrying on the family tradition to the highest level.

 

Today, Marmie Auto Group employs 125 full and part-time employees. We are very proud of our highly qualified and experienced team, with many having more than 25 years at Marmies. We pride ourselves in being involved in our community and taking good care of our customers. We are a full line dealership offering sales, service, parts, body shop and auto financing. We are very proud of the brands we represent; Ford, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Chevrolet, & GMC. We also have high-quality used cars as well as program and pre-owned certified vehicles. 1961-M.E. Marmie opened the Chrysler Plymouth dealership at 1802 10th Street in Great Bend

1964-David Marmie joined M.E. at the dealership

1965 - The Chrysler dealership was moved from its original location across the street to its present location at 1724 10th Street

1971- Jerry Marmie joined M.E. and David Marmie at the dealership

1971 - Marmie Motors acquired the Dodge truck franchise

1975 - Marmie Motors acquired the full line Dodge franchise from Bob Parish

1977 - Marmie Ford opened its doors in St. John, Kansas selling new Ford cars and trucks

1984 - Marmie family acquired Standish Ford Mercury in Great Bend, Kansas

1985 - Marmie Ford opened a new Ford Mercury facility at its present location 1815 10th Street

1990 - Marmie Motors acquired the Jeep franchise from Chrysler Corporation

2017 - Marmie Auto Group acquired the GMC franchise from Doonan's

2018 - Marmie Auto Group acquired the Chevrolet Buick dealership from Rob Dove
